This comment should go in both of these boxes, so I&'ll copy and paste! Basically, as soon as I arrived at 3pm I was craving a small one or two hour nap as I had been up all night on an overnight ferry. no chance! My room was a walkway into another room and the bathroom and kitchen, and was also directly close to the office and the door was open the whole time. If you want to sleep here at all, don&'t even think about it! The atmosphere is really peaceful inside the way that everyone makes pals and adopts a fun and somewhat crazy role here, but there is certainly also no privacy (yes, I know I was in a hostel, but I feel that a small degree of privacy is necessary wherever you are) in that individuals were freely allowed to walk in and out, and through your room continuously, even if they weren&'t staying there! I then moved to a different room. still a bit weird because one day the manager decided to do his work lying on one of the bunk beds in my dorm, saying it was quieter in there! In terms of the facilities, the cooking area ones were terrible; most of the hobs didn&'t work and there was a restricted amount of crockery and cutlery. The free use of towels was a nice perk though. The manager also generously lent me a bicycle to use during my stay. I also feel that the social location (the only one) is poor. it&'s only a tiny terrace which struggles to fit all the visitors in, and when it rains there is certainly no where to hang out inside. There are lockers, but you need your own padlock, so bear this in mind. The property owner kindly lent me one for my stay. You will almost certainly need a locker because the hostel is wide open the whole time, even sometimes when the owner is not in! Having said all this, I met some nice individuals who were up for a laugh and lots of drinking games. Bol is rather quiet, but there are a couple of bars and in case you have a nice crowd at the hostel you will have a fun time. I would strongly suggest that anybody not prepared for a full-on, in-ya-face hostel experience, where drinking games and going out each night are basically compulsory, should consider somewhere else. If you are looking to make lots of pals and don&'t mind much about quiet hours inside the afternoon or late morning, then go here. In general everyone was really very warm and friendly and one guaranteed aspect is that you will not feel lonely. Wow I wrote a lot!

This is the only hostel I&'ve ever stayed into which does not feel like a hostel but far more like you are staying at a friend&'s house. I ended up staying 6 nights rather than the booked 2 and really enjoyed how warm and friendly and sociable the employees was and also the incredible atmosphere. I look forward to staying there again next summer.

Chilled place, super-easy to meet other travelers, secure (for lockers you need your own padlock) and well located. Employees is cool and ready to party with guests. Would stay again.

Funky Donkey has a excellent location halfway in between the town and Zlatni Rat beach so it is quick and straightforward to get to both. The employees are a very good bunch and keep the nightlife ticking over even when it begins to get a bit noiseless at the end of the season. Cheers to Wyatt who is full of suggestions for places to eat.

I strongly suggest the trendy donkey hostel. The property owner is hilarious, i was supposed to stay for two nights and they convinced me to stay one night more and also the environment was so good that i had to stay, hehe. It's about 15 mins walking from Zlatni Rat and 5 mins walking to the centre. The spot is clean and also the staff are great. Enjoy it.

Funkey Donkey was the best hostel I ever stayed in, The location is perfect, the place is very nice as properly as the employees is the best! I spent 2 perfect days inside the hostel, they made me really feel at home, Funkey Donkey is the perfect place to have enjoyable and relax, the Island is gorgeous as properly as the hostel atmosphere is wonderfull! I didn't desire to leave that place!

This was the most enjoyable hostel I stayed at. Everyone socialises together on the terrace. The staff goes out partying with everyone till late. We had some awesome bbqs too!

Great staff! They were the best! So straightforward to get along with and really helpful! The whole setting of this hostel was great, so warm and friendly and chilled out. It reminded me of a large house back at home full of your mates. Close to principal town in Bol and really close to the beach. Rooftop is cool to drink on and meet new people. Thanks Wyatt for being a great host!
