The hostel manager was really beautiful and helpful about the town and surrounding areas. Organised airport pickup for a small extra fee. Took myself and some other people staying at the hostel to the local Los Chorros waterfall. Pretty safe, silent hostel in a cute town. Fantastic option to San Jose when flying in and out of Costa Rica.

The spot has a nice vibe, the back garden is really nice. Our room was very clean and well maintained. The cooking area facilities were very dirty, and it was understocked in pots, pans, utensils, there was very little to use. The breakfast was decent, along with the coffee good. The histel is bicely located in the charming town of Grecia, which i founf a million times nicer than Alejuela, but if you are only coming to see volcan Poas, it is inconvenient i f you are depending on bus travel

The owners are really friendly and especially inside the evening there was a nice setting inside the green hammock garden with some beers and hand-made music. A ideal spot to land and plan your further trip. Besides that I was picked up at the airport and given a friendly, stress-free start for my holiday.

Marcos was amazing! I was able to arrange a ride with him from the airport to the hostel, and even though my spanish is totally minimal things went smoothly. The hostel was in a great portion of town, extremely near to everything in Grecia. During the night time you can grab a beer and hang out inside the back yard (which was beautiful! ) with the other guests or go out to some of the local pubs - extremely close by. The market, restaurants along with the bank/atm were also just a block away. The setting is extremely relaxed. This was my first stop in Costa Rica and it was a great introduction.

This location is great! I am actually writing this review from their computer. The people here are extremely friendly. Marco is the significant contact - Im guessing that he is around 25 or so. He speaks English pretty well; far better than most other Costa Ricans at least. Super nice guy. He and his mother picked me up from the airport and have been outstanding ever since. The hostel is extremely clean. Has a outstanding balcony with a view of a park and it is literally directly across the street from a lovely church. It is secure to walk around and there are stores all over the place. Extremely happy with my decision to stay here. Id suggest it to friends and hope to stay here again some day.
