The all beach for ourselves. Robinson Crusoe style The really friendly and helpful staff and owners (e. g. taking us in their car to the cash point simply because we stupidly forgot Palomino had no ATM, always a smile on their face, leaving us alone the all time unless we asked for something along with the list goes on) The literally amazing food The idyllic hut and brilliantly furnished bathroom And I&'m possibly forgetting over details. Overall it was paradise on earth

This is a extremely calm place, with delicious food and straightforward but deluxe lodging by the sea. It was probable to get to Tayrona for the day by bus (or you could get a taxi) but gorgeous to return to these quieter surroundings (and a very good meal, the food at Tayrona not so great). We enjoyed walking along to the river and seeing numerous birds, going to the waterfall (another bus ride) and swimming also as reading a lot.
