May 25 && 26, 2014 - Had the amazing opportunity to expertise &"The Stone Bridge&". I booked though Booking. com and each and every contact with the hotel from start off to finish was professional, informative and accurate. The hosts, AhLong [also known as Stephen] && Jessie and exceptional. The hotel is a Western [AUSTRALIAN] Oasis exactly where English is the first language along with the meals and rooms and &"vibe&" are Aussie. It is a quiet spot but extremely near the hustle and bustle of the lovely and energetic local town. The meals were superb along with the beer was icy, an outstanding relief inside the heat. The rooms were clean and had all that you needed. Laundry washing was obtainable and reasonably priced. Low-cost efficient transport was often made obtainable and no hard sell for tours or sight seeing but in case you wanted it just say the word and it happened at the best price. The local dog, Slinky, is a treasure on his own. Like all things, the success of a hotel or any place, is determined by people. AhLong and Jessie are all the staff at this hotel. They do everything by themselves although you could possibly be forgiven for believing they have a staff of 20. Their bright helpful personalities made our experience. The help and advice they offered was priceless. If only the rest of China would follow this example. Even various days soon after we left the Stone Bridge we came across problems in another part of China that left us in an awkward position. One phone call to Jessie and she took control of our issues and resolved them by phone on our behalf. AhLong then followed up with reassuring emails making sure we were okay. This service and genuine care for individuals is why they are a MUST VISIT.

The spot is great! we had an awesome time there. the owners are really very warm and friendly and helpful and are simply like good friends! 15min walk from the key street it is totally rural and quiet. the only things you hear are frogs;) you can easily do all the tours around yangshuo from there-bike, scooter, etc. rooms are large and clean along with the food is also really good! we totally recommemd this spot to everybody. no regrets, we stayed even longer than we intended!

The Stone Bridge is located about 15min walk from the busy West Street in a nice little village. Though a little dark, but the walk was extremely enjoyable - with the smell of osmanthus accompanying us.

The owners are really nice people, they make you feel confortable immediantly and they help you with any information you need. For Y35 you can have a dinner cantonese style: really a great deal considering the quantity of food they cook for you. We couldn&'t get up from the chair for how we were full. Fresh and clean room and bathroom. A bit out of town, about 25 mins walking from the bus station, but it&'s a ideal spot if you want a restful stay (Yangshuo can be very crowded of tourists). Highly reccomended!

My wife and I stayed at The Stone Bridge for 5 nights mid September. We arrived to Yangshuo from Guilin by bus and took a cab from the bus station to The Stone Bridge. When the cab driver got on a dirt road we got worried thinking we were going to be in some God forsaken place but when we got there our worries were quickly replaced with joy. We were greeted by Jessie, a Chinese with a best English, who owns The Stone Bridge with her husband Stephen, an Australian who spent more than half his life in Chine. From the first second we got there Jessie and Steve made us feel welcome and at home. They told us to come see them for anything we needed and not to be shy due to the fact we were with uncle and auntie as Steve had put it. The Stone Bridge is located outside Yangshuo but is only 20 mins walk from Yangshuos center (West street) at an straightforward pace. The inn was established 3 years ago and looks so outstanding that youd think it was established the day before. The whole place is very western oriented with only English signs. The rooms are huge with a very large bathroom, the bed was very comfortable, the view out the window is incredible along with the area is very peacfull. The room had towels, soap, shampoo, toilet paper, mosquito repelling tablets, a flash light for walking to town during the night time (though we didnt use since we were there was there was a full moon and its light was enough and much more enjoyable to have), nets on the windows to the balcony and a closet (something we actually missed having in China). The 4th floor of the inn has a nice balcony to relax in at the same time as a TV and playstation 2. Jessie and Steve are happy to help with organising tours, cooking class at Cloud 9 (also very recommended), tickets to the Impression Show, etc. They also rent bicycles at a great price and make sure theyre all in tip-top condition. When we left The Stone Bridge we had breakfast at the inn (which was delicious! ) and took a shuttle bus to the airport. Not only was that also organised by Jessie, but Steve ascroted us to town to make sure we got on the right bus.

Peaceful and quiet and in a gorgeous setting. The couple who run this spot are two of the most warm and friendly helpful individuals I&'ve met on my trip - an absolute credit, helped me sort out train tickets, my journey into Hong Kong, and cooking some delicious food. Don&'t stay in Yangshuo centre, it&'s too noisy, packed with tourists. Come stay here instead. You won&'t regret it, I promise you!

Very clean, super warm and friendly helpful staff, nice bikes for rent. Surprisingly very good food considering the restricted choices (western only). Huge room (stayed inside the 3 person family room), nice bathroom and shower, very good AC. Soft cozy beds (for China). Nice balcony.

Stayed in a private room. Nice huge window overlooking the small village and some of the Karst mountains. Rained heavily during my stay with no water seeping into the room. Superb wireless in room, best with no speed or connection issues. Owner was extremely friendly. Everything working as it should, Hot showers, powerpoint in bathroom. Air-con extremely strong. Really noiseless at night.
