We booked a double room and were up-graded for no cost (without asking) as the employees said the booked room would be too cold. The apartment we stayed in was certainly warm. The room had a small kitchen, washing machine, large corner sofa and TV so we didn&'t really need or use the shared facilities. The location was fine and several employees members spoke exceptional English. We couldn&'t get the shower to work (and realised too late at night to get help from the staff) but the water from the tap in the basin was hot.

Friendly, helpful staff, Hearty western-style breakfast available. No cost wi-fi. Great view of the city but 2 or 3 kilometres away from the crowded, commercial district. Near to authentic Tibetan, Hui and Chinese restaurants. Effortless access to cabs and city bus lines.

Very helpful staff. Nice and central, if somewhat confusing, location: make sure to have an outstanding map of the location to be able to uncover your way back in case you are returning late. A very spacious room and bathroom. The view from the window is unbeatable. A nice little souvenir corner selling gorgeous creations of Amdo Craft project.
