The staff were very helpful and friendly - picked us up from the train station and gave us very clear travel advice and instructions on how to save money and use local transport to see the Terracotta Army independently. Rooms were basic and getting consistent warm water in the showers was difficult. Location was 20mins to the centre but lots of restaurants and a Fountain show (tacky but a laugh) 5mins walk away. Check out first noodle under the sun - awesome food.

The location is exceptional right by the Massive Wild Goose Pagoda, lots of shopping, pubs and some restaurants. The nicest area in Xi&'An and I preferred it much a lot more than inside the city walls which is quite busy. The employees that operate the hostel are excellent. The pickup at the train station was extremely helpful, they had very good english and were very useful with giving advice on our travel arrangements (including helping us determine how best to get to the Xi&'An Bei (North train station for the the High speed trains which is fair away). Hostel had fun people and lots of character.

It&'s in a excellent location for the Big Wild Goose Pagoda, Tang Paradise, a nice park just accross the street, and a plethora of eateries. The rooms are really basic. The common location on the ground floor is a nice lounge and comfy hangout. They hold a dumpling-making event every single Saturday. Their employees are beyond helpful: we were cutting it close getting to the airport for our departing flight. Two guys from the hostel helped us flag down taxis, carry our stuff various blocks, sort out an issue with the shuttle bus, arrange for cab cabs to take us to the airport, ride with us, and even help us check in at the airport. They would not take any money in gratitude, not even to pay their way back to the hostel. We will never forget the kindness we were shown in Xian!

Booked private twin, great size, great sized beds and clean. Trendy decoration. Superb place for big wild goose pagoda and fountain show, lots of great places to eat around too. Staff were really warm and friendly and helpful. Free drink coupons and no cost toiletries inside the room which was a nice touch.

Very really helpful and friendly staff, location only a 5 minute walk to massive wild goose pagoda and some nice street food places as nicely as the bar street just around the corner! 6 bed dorm rooms are quite big. comfy common area. free internet.

Some staf were more helpful than others but especially the girls on the desk couldn&'t do more to help, going out of their way to help solve travel problems. Great, pretty and calm location but with lots going on.

The property is at very near to one of the touristic spot of the city, a very lovely and ancient pagoda and from several very good chinese and western restaurants and coffee places.

Staff were really friendly and helpful, spoke great English. They picked us up from the airport (although it was just to meet us and then we had to take a public bus together to the hostel, it was still a nice gesture). Rooms are cosy, we had a twin private ensuite, which was clean and beds were comfortable. No safe/locker in room but we did have a private room, so I can&'t comment on the dorms. Location was really nice, clean and pretty as it is in the newer section of Xian near Westin hotel and other new properties so there are several eating places and bars catered for travellers (although most eating places and cafes are quite expensive and open late morning). Stalls offering low cost Chinese food are also right behind the hostel. Close to Massive wild goose pagoda and nice public park.
