Youth hostels Dont come much a lot more lovely than this one. Even the lobby (which doubles up as a chic wi-fi cafe), with its high ceilings and brightly painted walls, is a joy to be in. But its the rooms, all slightly different, that really stand out. Although on the small side, all are superbly decorated with cosy furniture, flower-patterned wallpaper and gathered-up curtains, and all come with wall-mounted flat-screen Television.

The location is out of the ordinary. It has the old world charm. Near to Dongbaoxin Metro station but a bit tricky to discover your way for the 1st time. You will appreciate your walk up thro&' gorgeous area. Hongku Football Stadium is lot further away. Lots of small super marketplaces close by. I was in the best dorm. 6 bed dorm in the front which is much better than 4 bed one which is crammed up.

Very cool and cozy location, the bar along with the whole lobby are beautiful and have their very own special style. Rooms (upstairs) don&'t have that touch and are quite easy but okay to stay. Nice and friendly staff. Free wireless but no computer to use.

(duolun streat) is a really pretty place to be. the bar is not open the whole night through, but you can sit there inside the dark during the night surfing the internet. It is very cheap, hard to locate a bed for 50 kuai per night in shanghai. they speak english.

Located in a Chinese environment the location is nice in case you like to integrate the culture. If you prefer western environment don&'t come here. Proximity to Hongkou Plaza (which owns a Carrefour and a lot of restaurants) at 10 minutes walking. Metro line 8 a Hongkou Stadium is about the same distance. You can uncover a lot of excellent and low priced Chinese restaurants around. Rooms are pretty clean.

Most of the guests are foreigner and the atmosphere is nice. Good common area and cafe (although it's a bit overpriced). I love its location. just on a cultural street (Dolun Road), 5 mins walk to lusun park and you can find some local streets, supermarket and convinent shops around. Don't miss the comtemporary art museum and gellary on Dolun Rd and try the Korean resturant opposite the hostel. brilliant! I also love the old book shop on Dolun Rd. take a look on the great collection if you know Chinese. or you can also find some nice stuff like the Mao's dialogue, posters and pins if you have no interest on the books.
