The finest pool table so far in China (been travelling around China for 2 months) Sat TV (world cup 24/7) in our double room. Accessible to do laundry. Powerful shower.

The location within the middle of the old town- authentic chinese! a comtrast to the shiny bund and new town. this place is authentic, but its getting a little bit old and rusty.

It is situated faily central and about 10 min from the subway in an old small street away from major roads. Very good enough for the price.

The location of this location made Shanghai awesome for us. Every time we left the old town we were disappointed. The location was really great for the price and being in the old town. The common room is really spacious and fantastic that its non-smoking for a change, although we did discover the cats really annoying, when you&'re trying not to get sick on your trip and they dive into your food. Very good little courtyard rooftop table and chairs thing too, really peaceful atmosphere

Female dorm was bright, clean with very comfortable beds. Very good laundry washing area. Very good location, walking distance to central shanghai. Nice public area.

My double ensuite room had new and impeccably clean bed linens; the air con heated the room sufficiently; bathroom facilities were new, and there were large towels and numerous toiletries as freebies. The common area downstairs is cosy and packed with visitors well into the night, but the merriment does not carry upstairs and it was silent to sleep. The neighborhood is enjoyable and walkable and has numerous small shops, street food stalls and all conveniences. The subway is a 10-minute walk away.
