I loved it, it was so cosy in a Chinese courtyard, with a lovely, clean, conventional Chinese style room. All the original wooden door and window frames were nonetheless there, which added to the charm. The hostel was located within the walls of the old city, thus creating a wonderful environment around

Location, but it&'s not a large value in Pingyao, exactly where everything is close by. Situated in traditional chinese house, but again - it&'s just a feature of the place and most of the hostels looks similar in here. WI-FI works fine.

Good, large lockers (bring your own lock); comfy bed in dorm room; very nice cafe/bar/common location (the nicest of the ones I saw inside the town center); helpful employees despite the language barrier!

The hostel has a marvellous traditional Chinese architecture; wonderfull courtyard. Really affordable for the quality of the service offered, the really tastefully decorated and spacious rooms, the free abundant breakfast, the excellent net connection (the finest I experienced in China! - considering the problems one has with a gmail-account in this country: there I had no problem at all to connect). Very helpful staff.

Breakfast buffet was tasty and convenient. Free pick up from train station and early check in was awesome. The room definitely had a character for a great price.

Lovely courtyard setting, a very warm and friendly and helpful owner, taxi cab cabs to and from the station, and cheap.
