Traditional style old house by the river. What&'s not to like Owner really went out of her way to create sure everything was as we required. Extremely friendly and helpful.

Lots of character in this noiseless guesthouse in a historic village on the outskirts of Lujung. Spacious room, large comfortable bed. Very friendly and helpful staff. Landlady went out of her way to show around the village and help us with arranging a day trip to Thousand Tortoise Mountain along with the adjacent national park, and also our over night trip to Tiger Leaping Gorge. We were able to leave our huge bags at her hostel and return there to collect them.

What a wonderful hostel. We just loved it. Beautiful rooms, magnificent bathrooms (especially if you think of the usual hostel bathroom) wonderful staff, wonderful location at the edge of shuhe old town, no cost all Chinese breakfast. And shuhe is the greater location to stay in order to discover the region. Amy and Angoo, who run this place, are merely lovely: so caring and helpful and always have a best recommendation on what to do.

The two staff, Lucy and Jody, were fantastic - doing everything from killing spiders to booking us train tickets. The location of the place is both a plus and a minus - Shuhe is a lovely old town (even nicer than Lijiang in our opinion) with lots to see and do, but it is a great 10-15 minutes in a taxi from Lijiang (and taxi drivers round these parts don&'t seem to like giving people lifts! ). The environment is also really relaxing - like a home from home - there are lots of communal areas dotted around (we made the landing with the woodburner our personal lounge for the duration of our stay) Finally, the beds are extremely comfy, with thick down duvets and lots of pillows, and there are power showers with unlimited hot water.

Nice, huge and clean rooms. Kind staff. Located in Shuhe in a noiseless village. Employees totally at disposable of travellers also for information, bus tickets, taxies and suggestions on what to do.

The location of this hostel is fantastic, finest in Lijiang. The hostel itself was beautiful, and also the employees were all extremely warm and friendly and helpful. A exceptional spot to stay!

Staff are really lovely. Liked the furnishings inside the room, the bright rugs were really lovely. The common areas could possibly be made a bit a lot more warm and lively. Would be great to have some board games and some cosy warm places to sit and meet other travellers.
