The staff was really friendly, especially following they realized I can speak Chinese :) The location was really fresh and clean and warm (I went there in November), there was even a heater inside the shower! Hongcun along with the landscape around is really beautiful, especially in autumn, totally recommend.

When we arrived at the hostel we were firstly stunned by the beauty of the place. It&'s clear that the owners take pride in creating an really outstanding place. Since there wasn&'t like any other individuals staying at the place when we came we got upgrade to a deluxe room for free. When we later wanted to sign up for another night they let us have the same room for the same low price. The first night we got invited to share rice wine and tea with the family, loads of fun. The old buildings, the stunning garden and the outstanding staff makes our wish to come back. Inside the end when we exactly where going to Mt Huangshan (buses runs in the morning from the village of Hongcun, cheap) we got to rent a tent from the household and borrow walking sticks for free. Huge thanks to everybody for our wonderful stay. /Jenny and Jesper

Everyhing just perfect. Nice, VERY clean, big bathroom. I have been to dozens of hostel around China and this might be my new favourite. Brilliant interior in reception/common room. You gotta see it. Also pool table inside the back yard. The owners alos nice and friendly people. Dont miss local wine, much much better than baiju! In a word, just a VERY nice spot to relax in a quite Hongcun.
