This B&&B (not really a hostel) is in a fantastic location on Cerro Concepcion. The taxi ride from the bus terminal was 4500 CHP. On the first night we were put into an upstairs (3rd floor) room which was a nice one with a shared balcony. The owner was warm and friendly and gave us instructions for a walking tour. We had made a booking for three nights and when we wanted to shorten it to two, it was not a problem, which was really nice.

Quite a walk from the bus station, so take a bus or a cab. Bus the hostel is situated in a save neighborhood. We had a quadruple room with bathroom in another building, only a minute away from the primary building. The room was tidy and clean. The hotel is run by a man who does everything to create you really feel at home. He gives you loads of what to do inside the city and very good restaurants.

This is an awesome hostel in the greatest location to stay in Valpo. Cerro Conception has the greatest looking historic houses/ restaurants/ and pubs. The owner, Alberto, was friendly and very helpful from start off to finish. He gave us awesome walking tours to fill our days, and was often there with a restaurant recommendation. Our room was clean, quite, and had fantastic views of colourful houses from its window. Like I said, location perfect, $8. 00 taxi cab ride from the bus station, or in case you take the city bus, get off near the clock tower and take the well known Cerro Ascensor up the hill. Amazing speedy WIFY. Make sure you eat pizza at Allegretto, have ice cream at Cafe Amore, and pay a visit to Melbourne coffee near the harbour for the BEST coffee in Valpo (and they do take-aways). There are also low-cost boat cruises in the harbour $4. 00/pp. I definitly reccommend staying here! You need at least minute of 3 nights, 4 is greatest to see the city and relax.
