They have events pretty much every single night: Wed - Open Mic, Thur - Jazz band, Fri - some DJs. And it is fascinating to live in a abandoned jail.

Interesting concept, central location, free breakfast (bagels, rolls, cream cheese, fruit, cereals, juices, coffee, tea), helpful staff (especially inside the cafeteria). Car parking beside the building for only $CAD 7 per day - a real bargain in central Ottawa.

Stuff were very nice and friendly, the place used to be a jail - so that&'s a nice encounter to sleep in what used to be a cell. The cost is great.

The location was amazing. Super near to the canal to go skating and there is certainly a mall across the street. The main club area is only a 5 minute walk. So perfect.

This property is unlike any other hostel I have ever stayed in! I loved the special expertise and all of the fantastic history onsite. The employees were incredibly helpful and extremely knowledgeable.

The property was extremely cool, with a fascinating history you could learn more about from the extremely informative staff member named Jeff. Though a jail, the beds were warm and comfy and even the common areas are extremely cosy too! The location is really handy, right downtown near to all you need and also the price of a stay is definitely worth it for the experience!

Very convenient location and very clean. I was a little afraid here was the jail but soon after coming here, staff is very warm and friendly and nice place. I like here.

Something a bit different and a enjoyable place to stay while in Ottawa. Nearby enough of the things to see and do in Ottawa. Plenty of room inside the 8 bed dorm and clean everywhere. All of the facilities needed for what you want.
