Yves is very nice person, he didn&'t save an effor to make my stay as enjoyable as possble. The aparment is situated in a silent neighbourhood, with a metro station only 5 mins away. The spot seems to attract exciting people, some of whom i have become very good friends with.

Old building, only one good point (cable) to acess internet, terrible bathroom, the bathroom door doesnt close properly, there are beds 1 meter far from the kitchen table, separeted only for a tissue. Many more problems, but I'm tired of thinking in that terrible place. Thanks.

Yves, the owner is a little eccentric, but extremely warm and friendly and helpful when you ask for info about the city. Yes, there are a lot of guidlines inside the building (like shoes off and use the compost/recycling, etc), but considering the price, it&'s a very good place to have a base while visiting. Clean and quiet. Not for people wanting to party in their rooms.

A few points I must warn about: 1) This property is not at walking distance from down-town Motnreal. you will need a metro/bus pass; 2) In case you want to drink, buy your own beer; 3) Yves is a strange fellow, but means well. try to become familiar with him and you&'ll be good. Otherwise, this is a pretty very good hostel: clean, comfortable beds, no AC is a problem but if you keep the windows open, you&'re good.
