Ordinarily this hostel is really nice with alpine cabin feel and a few perrks like an excellent restaurant abd games room. The rooms are really small and tight for in-room storage and access to this storage is under the lower bunk so that is certainly a pain. On the night I stayed the whole town was on a scheduled maintenance blackout. Arriving right after 17 hours in transit from the UK to a entirely dark hostel with no hot water was disappointing. Even though it was scheduled so they could have warned travellers the HI had not arrange hall lamps or torches or anything just giving out rediculous glow sticks. CRAZY.

The room was cosy and I like that there is a sauna. The games/tv room was an excellent size.

Staff were awesome, nice lounge to hang out in. Also, you can borrow snow shoes from the reception for free!

Die Zimmer waren sehr sauber und auch nett eingerichtet! In unserem 6er Zimmer waren 2 Betten ueber eine Leiter zu erreichen! Die Bettdecke war recht neu!

The people were wonderful, the location was stunning, it was really affordable and there were a number of seating areas exactly where I was able to read a book really comfortably. All in all it was a really personable experience.
