The spot had a lot going on, a lot of facilities. Bar Resturaunt television room and pool room. Room was nice but absolutely nothing exceptional. The food when I are there was good. Baring in mind I stayed one night I didn&'t get to take a look at some bits but had a lot to do.

The executive double room is amazing- really huge room and bathroom, looks really nice and luxurious. On the third night we had to switch to a twin due to availability. This was a pretty huge step down but nonetheless decent. Both rooms had superb warm water and air conditioning.

In the Mad Monkey, you are only a cash cow : everything is charged, even a map of the city. The breakfast is not included which is a shame for a 7/8 bucks a night in dorms (which is very expensive according to local standards). There is no fun and no socialization going on. The location is noiseless far from top spots && you will need tuk tuks to get downtown. NOT recommended at all.

As a solo female traveller I found the mad monkey a wonderful location to meet people and make buddies to do stuff with. The staff are enegergetic and friendly. Everything is easily organized :)
