The hostel is in a beautiful old building within the old centre of the city. It seemed to be a pretty unsafe region though because there was nobody on the street on quite nights, on the other hand, each and every night there stayed a police car on the corner. But this safety issue counts for whole salvador. The sanitary is clean and nice. The rooms too.

The location was perfect, stay there on 2 occasions, first occasion was in a provate room and thats was great, the second occasion was in the dorm. Breakfast is brilliant - fruits, cakes, ham, cheese, juice, hot drinks, etc

There were always people having a few drinks downstairs inside the afe inside the evening, which made it really easy to meet other travellers. The hostel is also extremely central, and you can walk to the bus station, the Lacerda lift and most places of interest.

The decoration and the fact that there's a restaurant linked to the hostel, so you can just go down and grab a bite to eat.

Nice location, clean hostel. Employees not 100% friendly, I felt a client (as I am) and not a guest. The morning I arrived (at 730 am) soon after an overnight bus, they denied me the breakfast, due to the fact my check in was officially at 12 that day. nothing terrible but that makes an concept of the way they treat guests. ANyway, the location is fantastic and value for money good, I reccomend it.
