Located on the principal street of favela vidigal, bus stop in front and effortless to travel to any location via bus. Exceptional breakfast, air condition rooms and you can took your food, but you are not allow to bring alcohol. Rooms a small and tight, no room for your bags. Small lockers and fas internet. 24hrs police situated outside the principal entrance of the favela.

Amazing place! Entirely safe, confortable and near to leblon beach. Andre was a stand up guy and made us really feel comfortable. We also went to a pretty cool favela party which would nor have been probable without a local connection. Extremely recommended.

I&'ve stayed at numerous hostels all around the globe and this one is going to be one of my favorite. In terms of the setting and individuals I met there- the finest ever. The hostel is small and gives you a feeling of being at home. Luis, the property owner does a excellent job, he&'s very friendly, enthusiastic, often helpful. and also the caipirinhas he makes. mmm! The location is great, inside walking distance you can reach Leblon, Ipanema, Sao Conrado and in case you don&'t feel like walking, there&'re plenty of busses but also vans that can pick you up/ drop off right by the hostel for R$2. 50, even inside the middle of the night. Don&'t be discouraged by the fact that the hostel is inside the favela. I&'ve walked there in day time, night time, taken pictures, eaten at different places and I loved it. It&'s a fascinating region to uncover and feels safer than the city center of Rio. The breakfast is very good with savoury and sweet choices so you won&'t be hungry. The cooking area is equipped enough to store and cook your own food. Rooms are clean and so is the bathroom.

Booked one night and ended up staying three weeks! Incredibly helpful and welcoming employees - made the visitors really feel like family. They would often take us out on day trips to see parts of the city we never would have found alone and I felt I really got to see the true Brazilian culture here, in ways I wouldn&'t have at any other hostel. Very helpful during carnival, always information about the best parties to go to! felt really safe here, and also the minivans on the road outside the hostel made it easy to reach the centre of Copacabana/Ipanema in a couple of minutes.

I really liked getting a glimpse of local life inside the favela. It was a extremely unique view of Rio and I am pleased to have experienced it. The favela felt secure as I walked around.

Staff is really friendly. The hostel is located at the front of the favela so you have simple access to other parts of rio.

Raffael is the ideal host, he is so friendly and makes you feel completely safe and welcome. The hostel is small, so not that numerous other guests, but Raffa takes you under his wing and you can hang out with his friends. A much more real encounter of a very good time in Rio than staying in a massive backpacker hostel. You also get the beautiful scenery across Leblon and Ipanema.
