The staff are really warm and friendly and often emailed me back to answer questions. The spot is clean, and they have really good bread at the breakfast. There is certainly a computer you can use web on for free. The location is also pretty good.

King Albergue is in a extremely central location, near to bus stops, a metro station and right on Rua Catete. The bath rooms and bedrooms are clean, and also the front door is secure but in general the environment is just extremely sterile and boring. Theres really not much common space or ambience, so its only a great place to put your head down at night, take a shower, and get out of the house.

I really enjoyed the people who were staying here but that was about it, the whole spot is small and cramped and you will often be hot. The cooking area is pratically unusable with only two hobs and no space. It is however reasonably clean and ok if you are simply going to use It as a bed and spend you nights just down the road in Lapa!
