Great location - secure and only one block from the beach. Also near to a lot of fantastic stores and restaurants. There isn&'t a common area within the conventional sense, but the bar is great. Drinks are fairly priced and they organize nights out to all of the best areas of the city. Employees is very friendly and helpful. Social setting which makes it straightforward to meet fellow travelers.

The staff was really helpful and spoke very good english. The bar was nice and the hostel offers quite some activities. They clean everything twice a day!

The location was fantastic, the staff were helpful and warm and friendly and overall the 6 bed dorm I stayed in was clean. However, I did hear other guest complaining about how dirty their room was during their stay.

Good staff, funny, friendly, speak english, spanish and portugese. Meet loads of individuals and have excellent time. Close to Ipinema beach, like 1 minute walk. Fantastic tours at reasonable prices. Awesome bar and drtinks + meal specials Enjoyable event every single night pre planned

Its in a wonderful area, super secure and close to the beach, and eating places and bars in Ipanema. It is clean and superb that each room has an ensuite but when you&'re in a dorm of 10 1 ensuite is not really enough.
