IT was safe and clean location and what is the most essential centally situated to everything! Lapa was just 5min away! Nice atmosfere and really funy location to stay for sometime.

The locations fantastic as properly as the monthly tenents are extremely friendly, I think they were trying to get into running it and I can only see this as a good move. The hostel has fantastic potential, but I think it is only realized for Carnival and New Year.

My stay here was one of the extremely best expereiences ive had in Rio so far. Its near to all necessities, bus, metro, bars, restaurants and supermarkets. Its also extremely near to Santa Teresa and Lapa. the place is secure, clean and has fantastic charecter. The employees were allways helpful.

One of the greatest items I found at the hostel which was not so much expected was the outgoing helpfulness of the staff, who went out of their way to guide us (3 people) thoughout the Lapa district. We were toured around the key historic spots and music places where the evolution of samba and bossa nova were invented, a true cultural delight, right where we were staying. This is a real cool and discreet spot that contrastt to the usual noisy hostel experience. Bloody great! !

Liked really little. Was meant to stay 3 nights but only stayed 1 night due to the fact the employees and owner were so disorganised. We got there and they could not find our booking as properly as the internet was not working. So they told us that they will take our booking once we get the reservation and there was no help provided. It took 2 hours to find an internet cafe that was open as it was the day following carnival. When we finally printed out the booking, it took another 1 hour ahead of they actually found beds for us in an 8 bed dorm as the only 6 bed dorm was full. When we complained that we booked a 6 bed dorm, they offered to give us our money back as they were over booked! We decided to stay 1 night as everywhere in Rio was full. Then the water supply was cut at night as properly as the story going around was that the entire city did not have water. Next morning we found out (from the owner) that the water bill was not paid. But they did manage to get water the night the water supply was cut. Jorge is a great guy, but really disorganised, and as this was the last week of our 7 month holiday, taking 3 hours to check in and 5 hours to eventually get our beds, was not superb enough. I would not stay here again due to the fact of my experience. Ah as properly as the other thing was that we had to pay for all 3 nights ahead of they would show us to our beds, but when it came to returning money, they told us that they would give us the money within the evening or the next morning. not really superb when you demand money ahead of show somebody to their beds. This was the first hostel in 7 months that asked us of this ahead of taking us to our beds. Really disappointed as we wanted to spend a few nights at this hostel in Lapa.

The hostel was okay for the money. Not much setting there and it was really hot throughout the place. Seemed like there was more staff than visitors there.
