Great place, the most lovely and most secure region in Rio, it is not extremely cheap, but hostels are expensive in the city, so cost it&'s average for location. Close to the beach, and exceptional breakfast. Credit card accepted.

Excellent location in Ipanema close to supermarkets, restaurants, the beach, and copacabana. Lockers in dorms (note: you have to present your own lock)

Since we arrived to our confirmed reservation to a full hostel and were told they could not accommodate us and to head 5 blocks down the road to another hostel, Ipanema Beach House, we&'ll suggest you just stay there. Better pool, better outside space with hammocks, and closer to shopping /restaurants.

Perfect location near to the beaches, metro, and pubs and restaurants, in a extremely safe area. the hotel in itself is really lovely and very good breakfast. they accept credit card which is not extremely common in brasil for hostels and pousada.
