The concept of a monastery converted into a hostel was rather exciting and some of the places nonetheless retain their original decor. The staff were very warm and friendly too and know Ghent quite well. It&'s also very near to the city center.

Right inside the middle of Ghent, affordable and clean. The rooms are small and poor. But right after all it&'s a monastery!

Beautiful! The room was small but cute. Facilities weren&'t within the room but they were nearby and clean. The location was probably as close as you could get to the canals without paying an arm and a leg, but either way it was straightforward to uncover and maybe a 5-10 minute walk to the sights.

Guesthouse PootAckere is a beautiful hotel set inside an old monastry extremely close (and straightforward walking distance) to the center of Gent. The room was large and clean and also the staff incredibly kind and helpful. Although I didnt use the bar or restaurant, the atmosphere seemed warm and happy in such a beautiful venue.
