Best hostel in Port Douglas; bit out of town but good facilities etc

Inspite of the fact that mostly you will see work&&travel youngsters there, the atmosphere is totally amazing. Also it has nice garden, bar, pool and showers. One of the greatest hostels I&'ve been to in my life. I wish I stayed there longer. Highly recommended!

The Port Douglas surrounding is beautiful. The palm trees and hammocks, the open atmosphere and nice design make this a extremely relaxing location to stay at.

This was an excellent hostel with a lovely chilled vibe. Dorms were of a excellent size and everyone had a small locked drawer for valuables (so much less hassle than having to go to reception everyday! ). Toilets and cooking ares was clean.

Dougies was fantastic. loved it! Rohan && Lindsy are fantastic && do everything to make you feel welcome. The hostel is slightly off the significant strip, but I actually found that to be a very good thing as it is only a short walk to the significant street. It was low season when we visited, but the atmosphere was still enjoyable && we loved everything about it. The no cost transfer from Cairns is also really helpful. Definitely stay at Dougies if visiting Port Douglas!

Location is good and staff are on hand to help out. You get cutlery box on arrival. Showers are located centrally which means you do not normally have to wait. Large kitchen and pool is also available.

Friendly staff and clientele. Superb booking services for tours around the area. Pool with long opening hours. Large rooms with large lockers for bags. Great cooking area for prepping own meals. Great washing facilites.
