The property is really cosy && you feel at home straight away. It is a huge building with lots of rooms, they do really well to keep it so clean. The kitchen is large && has lots of pots, pans, plates, cutlery etc. We stayed in winter && there was a heater in the room which made the room really warm which was nice following a day in the cold && rain. Breakfast is ok - toast with numerous spreads, && juice. There is also continuously free tea, coffee && hot chocolate. At 5pm rice && pasta (uncooked) is put out to use for free. There are 2 television rooms with lots of sky/cable channels.

It was in such a pretty location near the botanical gardens and so peaceful, other travelers were respectful and it was straightforward to sleep. The building has lots of character and is kept extremely clean. The staff were generally pretty and helpful, especially the man who cleans the cooking area :) cute friendly resident cats! Spacious rooms and I liked the fact that the bathrooms were actual bathrooms not just a row of shower cubicles. Lovely garden too, oh and cosy sofas everywhere!

This is an incredible spot to stay if you appreciate character. The old Victorian building shows faded elegance, fantastic hot showers, breakfast included, rice and pasta obtainable for dinner, tea and coffee for all. Really a super deal and lovely helpful employees to boot!

Nice location, tram stop right outside. Extremely cute property in a quiet residential area. Extremely clean and properly kept, employees were warm and friendly and helpful.

The proximity to the stunning Botanic Gardens, the tram stop just down the street aminutes walk away, and also the nice area to stay in. The character of the spot is classic, much more like a hotel, but you can stay at backpacker rates. It is not straightforward to discover a very good spot like this within the city.

Good large screen TV&'s in common rooms. Good breakfast supplied as was supply of dry Pasta && rice. Kitchen was better controlled for cleanness than a lot of hostel kitchens Seating in common rooms was comfortable Tenants were properly behaved and hostel was generally restful && quiet

The employees was helpful and friendly. The restaurant nearby offered decent meals although expensive. The tram stop is really close by.
