Excellent hostel - staff friendly, rooms (double in our case) are basic but clean and all you really need. Bathrooms clean and you were able to go straight to toilet/shower without queuing (ladies) Although we had our tours pre-booked the travel desk staff were extremely helpful and always had time for a 'hello, how are you' Hostel is securely locked at night and entry is via night key so you feel really safe.

Fabulous location! Stunning lagoon just in front of the hostel. Very warm and friendly employees (especially the Swedish cute blonde).

Really pushy tour desk. Unhelpful staff when wanting to rearrange our plans. Really uncomfortable beds with springs inside your back all night. Extremely loud air con unit in room blaring out all day and night. No cost meal was tiny and terrible - barely worth the effort of going to get it. Great location though.

The staff were very helpful and also the hostel is right next to the lagoon and a 5 minute walk from woolworthes and right next to a mc donalds with no cost wifi

This backpacker is a amazing location to stay! What is amazing it is the helpfulness as properly as the friendliness of the staff. i have never met people as nice as them! Their offive to book tour (for the Great Barrier Reaf or for other tours) is just fantastic! You should go there, you will meet marvellous people!
