SR backpackers is a hostel exactly where you feel at home! stayed here for 2 nights with my boyfriend and it is an awesome spot which we will remember and recommend. The location is awesome, it is inside the city center, near to beach, ferry and busses to butrint and ksamil. the center and soul of the hostel is the property owner Tomi, he will do anything for you: he picks you up at the ferry, helps you with sightseeing and busses, serves you no cost breakfast and coffee and often keeps an eye on everyones nicely being! :)

This is one of the friendliest and most welcoming hostels I&'ve ever stayed in, and in an unbeatable location. Tomi, the owner, walked me to a great restaurant last night and has promised to bring me to the ferry tomorrow. Talk about service. With commanding attractions of the port, this is the spot to be in Saranda.

Homey place! Feels like a sharehouse (it&'s an apartment) with a nice open kitchen/lounge space and fantastic balconies with points of interest of the bay. Amazing location in a short walk from the bus stop and pretty much as close to the beach as you can get. Tomi has all of the info you need for everything in Saranda and nothing is ever a problem for him! Definitely join inside the beach BBQ, it was delicious even for vegeterians. :)

Amazing experience! My girlfriend as I spent 5 days at Tomi&'s and each day was magnificent! We arrived to Saranda within the pouring rain and Tomi was waiting for us at the bus stop. When we arrived back at the hostel we were treated to hot tea, and towels so we could dry and warm up. Tomi makes breakfast every morning which is delicious :) He has the hostel equipped with all you need from detailed maps, info about day trips, bus and ferryboat schedules, totally equipped kitchen, and greatest of all of the hostel is immaculately clean! Absolutely nothing is ever a problem for Tomi and he has a heart of gold! We can not recommend enough as we wish all travellers can encounter Tomi&'s endless caring nature :)

It was a very nice hostel but sadly it was full (after we had booked dorm rooms) so we were moved to a guesthouse that was about 10 minutes away. The guesthouse was nice but there was no internet.

Tomi is an fantastic host - nothing is too hard for him to help with. Along with the hospitality even continued when I left as his friend was on my ferry to Corfu and gave me a ride to the bus station on the other side, saving me a long walk. Tomi epitomises friendly albanian hospitality and keeps the place immaculate. You won&'t regret your decision to stay here, it&'s a really fantastic place to stay and meet people.

Best hostel EVER! perfectly located near the port/bus station/beach! Tomi the Albanian owner is the very best host you will ever meet, he honestly goes above and beyond for everyone! from the moment we arrived we were continuously surprised and treated. we arrive to freshly cut up watermelon to cool off from travelling, then as it was around lunch time I was feeling peckish, tomi must have read my mind and next thing I knew he came in with feta sandwiches! he doesn&'t just tell you which bus to hop in and where, he will walk you to your stop and tell the driver to tell you when to hop off. he even flagged down his friends to give us a lift up the large hill to the castle so we wouldn&'t have to walk! he then asked us what time me and my brother would be back to the hostel and to our surprise he had cooked us fresh fish and salad for lunch. often giving! not to mention he does an awesome Barbeque on the beach, which is excellent value for money, and so is the laundry. Tomi your are a legend, , thanks so much for looking following us!

Tomi is the sweetest hottest person :) No chance to u don&'t like him! He is helpful, clean and tidy. My friend and i stayed at this hostel 2 nights, location is perfect and easy to find even he haw on the stairs waiting for us with a pretty welcome :) this hostel and Tomi extremely suggested for all backpackers

Staying with Tommi && Meike is like staying with your favorite uncle and aunt! Awesome hospitable. The hostel is in an awesome location with superb scenery of the bay from the balcony. Highly suggest this place!

Good location (for what Saranda has to provide that is), good bed, balcony, clean bathroom, good breakfast (bread, jam, cheese, tomatoes, watermelon)
